OKTOBER PRODUCTION COMPANY
Oktober Oy is a Finnish production company located in Helsinki and was established in 2004. Only in a few years, it has created a reputation as a creative production house producing quality documentary and fiction films focusing on strong social issues. It was founded by Joonas Berghäll, Katja Gauriloff and Mika Hotakainen.
Oktober has developed strong international connections through co-production and distribution of its films. Besides of their own productions, Oktober provides location production services in Finland. In Finland it has been granted a Finnish Film Quality Grant three times for documentary films “The Smoking Room”, “A Shout into the Wind” and "Steam of Life", which is recognition for company's ambition to produce high quality films.
